A different kind of email - I need your help

Friends,

Today I am writing to you from the bottom of my heart.

Some of you know that I spent 5 years living in Türkiye (Turkey) a while back and recently spent 2 months traveling there with my family. My husband is Turkish and his family is safe.

Like many of you, my family and I were devastated by the earthquakes which rocked a region which is about the same size as Washington DC to NYC.

25,000 have already died and they predict this number will double.

1/5 of the country has been affected - millions of people - and we're on a mission to help them.

Since this is all very sudden, we haven't formed a non-profit (yet), but we are collecting donations via paypal and Venmo.

So far, thanks to generous donors, we've purchased tents, air mattresses, heaters, blankets, sanitary pads, diapers, underwear and more (hundreds of items) directly in Türkiye from the main aid organization's wish list and our orders are in route to the affected areas right now.

More people need our help and $10 goes a long way in Türkiye, where the minimum wage is $425 a month.

I am asking you to donate at least $10 to our campaign. If each person on my list donates $10, we could raise almost 100,000 Turkish lira. And you tell a friend, even better.
